FIELD AGENT PLATFORM DISCLAIMER

PLEASE READ THIS DISCLAIMER CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE BOTG PLATFORM

1. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR STATUS

By registering as a Field Agent on the Boots on the Ground Services LLC (BOTG) platform you acknowledge and agree that you are operating as an independent contractor only. You are not an employee, agent, partner, or representative of BOTG in any capacity. BOTG does not control your schedule, methods, or means of completing jobs.

2. VISUAL OBSERVATION SERVICES ONLY

All services performed through the BOTG platform are strictly limited to visual observation and photo or video documentation. You are not authorized to perform, represent, or imply that you are performing any licensed professional service of any kind including but not limited to:

You must never represent yourself to any client, property occupant, or third party as a licensed inspector, contractor, appraiser, or real estate professional in connection with any job performed through this platform.

3. PROPERTY ACCESS

You may only access areas of a property that are publicly accessible or for which you have received explicit written authorization from the client through the BOTG platform prior to beginning the job. Entering any property, yard, enclosed area, or structure without proper authorization is strictly prohibited and may constitute trespassing under applicable state law.

BOTG assumes no liability for any legal consequences arising from unauthorized property access. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have proper authorization before accessing any non-public area of a property.

4. SAFETY

Your personal safety is your responsibility at all times while performing jobs through the BOTG platform. If at any point you feel unsafe, encounter a hostile occupant, or determine that completing a job would require actions that put you at risk you must immediately stop work, leave the area, and cancel the job through the app. BOTG is not responsible for your safety or any incidents that occur while you are performing jobs.

5. IDENTITY VERIFICATION

Field agent identity verification: Before accepting open jobs or appearing in the client directory, field agents must complete identity verification through Stripe Identity (Stripe, Inc.), our third-party identity verification provider. The process requires a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a U.S. driver's license or state ID card) and a live selfie matched to that ID in a Stripe-hosted flow.

BOTG does not display field agents' ID document images to clients. When verification succeeds, clients may see an "Identity verified" badge and verification date on the field agent's public profile. BOTG stores verification status, timestamps, and related account metadata on our systems. Stripe processes and retains identity verification data under Stripe's terms and privacy policy.

Failure to complete verification, failed verification, expired verification, or suspected fraud may prevent a field agent from accepting jobs, appearing in client search results, or using certain platform features until verification succeeds.

You consent to Stripe Identity processing your ID and biometric selfie data for verification. Do not attempt to use another person's ID, a forged document, or a non-live image for verification.

6. NO GUARANTEE OF JOB AVAILABILITY

BOTG does not guarantee the availability of jobs in your area at any time. Job availability varies by location, time, and demand. BOTG makes no representations regarding the volume or frequency of jobs available to any individual Field Agent.

7. PLATFORM FEE ACKNOWLEDGMENT

You acknowledge and understand that BOTG deducts a platform fee of 10% of the job amount from your payout with a minimum deduction of $2.00 per job. This fee is deducted automatically before your payout is processed.

Payout timing: After client approval, your net earnings are transferred to your Stripe Connect balance when the client’s payment has cleared through Stripe—not necessarily on the same day you complete or receive approval for the job. Card payments typically settle within two (2) to seven (7) business days (longer for new accounts or ACH). Connect transfer usually completes within minutes after settlement; withdrawing to your bank is a separate step in the app. See the Field Agent Independent Contractor Agreement for full payout terms.

8. TAX RESPONSIBILITY

You are solely responsible for reporting all income earned through the BOTG platform to the appropriate federal and state tax authorities. BOTG will issue a 1099-NEC form where required by law. BOTG does not withhold taxes from your payouts.

9. NO DIRECT SOLICITATION

You may not directly solicit, contact, or conduct business with any client you connect with through the BOTG platform outside of the platform. All jobs, communications, and payments must be conducted exclusively through the platform. Violation of this policy may result in immediate account termination and a penalty fee of $500 per occurrence.
